Roman beans in tomato sauce (Facioletti)

1 kg corallo beans
100 g small peeled tomatoes
1 tbs lard
pepper
onion

Brown the minced onion in the lard  in a pan and add the cubed tomatoes; cook for a while, then add the beans, salt and parsley and cover with a lid. Cook on a moderate flame and add water as necessary.
