Fishing in the Tiber

In Rome, close the Grande Raccordo Anulare (ring road) exit for Magliana, the Tiber is rich in fish such as grey mullets, chubs, eels and more. Recommended fishing techniques to use here are float fishing in current for chubs and grey mullets, legering for barbels and casting bait on the bottom, with a traditional technique.

How to get there: take via del Mare and then the turn-off to reach the GRA (ring road). Follow the paved road until you reach the end of the cycle track. On foot, reach the banks of the Tiber, where the GRA bridge is

Rules: a fishing license is necessary

Fish: grey mullets, chubs, barbels, bleaks and eels
