Fishing in the Simbrivio

Share

This walk is part of the area: La Via Prenestina

The Simbrivio is a tributary of the Aniene river which flows from Monte Autore, close to Vallepietra. It is a small stream with clear waters hemmed in by banks covered in a rich vegetation. Recommended fishing techniques are match fishing with natural baits, spinning with whirling 3 grammes spoon-bait, and taking very precise casts.

How to get there: take the Roma-L’Aquila highway and exit at Vicovaro-Mandela. Here follow via Tiburtina, on the left, then via Sublacense on the right, until you reach Subiaco. Once you have crossed this town, take the road on the left for Jenne, and follow the road signs for Vallepietra-Trevi until you reach the fork in the road for the latter

Rules: a fishing license is necessary. Silkworms cannot be used as bait

Fish: sea trout
