Laurentino – Acqua Acetosa Natural Reserve

Share

Fa parte dell'itinerario storico di: La Via Ardeatina

The Reserve extends on 152 hectares, near the mineral water spring and along the Sorrel Water ditch. Embellished by long eucalyptus rows, planted at the end of 1800, to prevent malaria, it preserves the ruins of a pre-Roman necropolis. A walk allows to observe what is left of the old downy oak and holm oaks wide woods; streams with willows and poplars and wild orchids on the rocks. Finally the Ciuccio Ditch where, besides small fishes, lives the crayfish, mammals and aquatic birds that populate the protected area.
