The Milani firm is in Montorio Romano, in the heart of the DOP Sabine region and in the midst of the Park of the Monti Lucretili. Here, olive trees grow at 450-500 metres above sea level and the age-old plants, of an autochthonous species such as the Carboncella and the Moraiola, or new ones such as the Leccino variety, are grown with strictly organic methods. Olives are handpicked and are daily cold pressed in a certified oil press – for organic oil – with a continuous cycle. The oil thus has a harmonious taste and very low acidity, and has twice been awarded the eighth prize in the DOP Sabine “lightly fruited” category, at the Regional Olive Competition. In other words, it is an excellent product. Visits to the firm can be organised: telephone bookings required.
