Chocolate pie with Strega liqueur ice cream


120 centilitre milk
120 centilitre cream
225 grams plain chocolate
20 grams potato starch
4 egg yolks
For the ice-cream:
Half litre fresh milk
Half litre liquid cream
5 egg yolks
175 grams sugar
A vanilla stick
A “Strega” drop

Boil milk with cream, add chocolate into small pieces and slowly melt on the fire. Work separately egg yolks with potato starch; then combine the two ingredients with a whisk. Grease with butter small moulds, pour the mixture and cook in the oven at 150 degrees for 10-15 minutes. For the ice-cream: boil milk, cream with shelled vanilla in a small saucepan. Beat the egg yolks with sugar, incorporate milk and put on the fire at 85 degrees, mixing without boiling. Cool, perfume with “Strega” (Witch) liqueur and put into the ice-cream maker. Heat the pie into the microwave and serve with a glass of cream on the side.
